Vineyards: The grapes (massal and clonal selections) originate from the “vigneto delle Farfalle” (Vineyard of the butterflies) located on south of the Massif of Pratomagno, and benefit from the climatic conditions that are ideal for the growth and ripening of the fruit. The soil has a composition of medium texture, arenarico, rich in quartz and iron oxide, and is fed with a composted mixture of animal and vegetable manure sourced onsite.
Vinification: After destemming with very soft pressing the grapes are placed in cement vats to macerate over 15/30 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques; fining in masonry barriques/tonneaux/barrels followed by bottle fining for a minimum of six months.
Wine with round and deep aromas with hints of spicy notes.
